Córdoba, the first Fab City of Argentina
Córdoba is the new city that joins the Fab City global network, promoting entrepreneurial development, sustainability and technological innovation to generate a positive impact in the glocal community.
The city of Córdoba is characterized by its entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem. In recent years, the number of innovative ventures has grown and their profile has been raised.
One of the areas that has grown the most is that of entrepreneurial makers. These are specialized digital manufacturing ventures that use technologies such as 3D printing, electronics, programming, and other manufacturing tools to create innovative products.
In order to generate a social impact, environmental and productive innovation for the city, the director of COFACTORY, Alvaro Toledo, the Municipality of Córdoba and Corlab came together to implement actions that strengthen these high-impact principles that are aligned with the Fabcity philosophy.
On June 28, was the first meeting of CÓRDOBA FAB CITY stakeholders took place, where entrepreneurs, businessmen, academics and officials participated to begin working collaboratively on the challenges of the sector.

“This is a great starting point for the city of Córdoba towards sustainability. The transformative approach proposed by Fab Cities challenges us to rethink the way we produce and consume based on the values of connectivity, inclusion and creativity” highlighted the Director of Cofactory, Álvaro Toledo, during the presentation.
The event also had the participation of Tomás Diez, leader in the field of digital manufacturing and urban innovation, Alejandra Torres, from the Ministry of Planning and Modernization and Luciano Crisafulli, General Director of the Govtech Innovation Laboratory of Córdoba.
From Fab City Córdoba, our first commitment, to transmit the Fab City global philosophy to the local community as a starting point.
