Join us for the third annual Fab City Challenge. This year we travel across the culturally rich Mexico to collaborate with seven local organizations on a variety of social and environmental challenges!
The Fab City Challenge Mexico 2024 takes place in the days leading up to the FAB24 event in Puebla, Mexico. Over a 10-day period, participants will travel across Mexico to collaborate with local hosting organizations in an immersive innovation incubator aimed at addressing one of the seven local challenges faced by the community.
This year, we have some familiar areas of intervention, such as accessible assistive technology and water conservation. Additionally, intriguing new areas have emerged, like biodiverse cities and empowering social entrepreneurship. You can apply to join an area aligned with your expertise or use your unique perspective for a challenge that appeals to you!
Starting January 15th, applications are open to individuals and representatives of organizations, or networks.
To participate, fill out the application formsharing your background, skills and experience.
Applications close on February 18th, and the curation process starts. Within the following month, the selected teams will be announced.
The Fab City Challenge, in just two editions, has evolved into a thriving innovation program, marking its growing impact and success. Starting this year, selected participants for the challenge will contribute to its economic sustainability by purchasing a ticket for a modest fee of $250. The ticket includes travel to and from challenge locations, hotel stay during the challenge days, and three meals over the course of the challenge days. This shift allows us to enhance the overall experience while covering essential expenses related to organizing and coordinating the event. By buying a ticket, you’re not just joining a 10-day innovation sprint; you’re investing in the initiative’s future and joining a global community of changemakers.
