Winning Projects Announced!
The Fab City Awards 2025 brought forward a global surge of bold ideas grounded in local action. This edition highlighted projects that turn citizen innovation into tangible climate solutions, spanning everything from grassroots labs to large-scale circular infrastructures.
Four outstanding winners were chosen from over 56 submissions across 35 countries and every continent. Each one reflects the core values of the Fab City Manifesto and pushes the frontier of regenerative, distributed futures.
This selection would not have been possible without the dedication of our incredible jury. Fifteen experts from across the Fab City Network and allied communities carried out over 160 evaluations with care, precision, and deep respect for each initiative submitted.
The 2025 edition was co-produced with the Distributed Design Platform, the PENCE Initiative, and Hackster.io. Together, we built an ecosystem that connects creative industries, civic engagement, and open technology to amplify the shift toward sustainable, inclusive cities.
