Fab City Summit 2021

Hosted by Montreal under the theme Fabricating the Commons, the 2021 Summit expanded Fab City’s presence in North America through a hybrid global format. Conversations centered on ecological transition, biomimicry, advanced production ecosystems, and regenerative economies. Despite global disruption, participation broadened across continents, reinforcing international collaboration. The commons framework deepened Fab City’s alignment with regenerative and cooperative governance models. Montreal strengthened the movement’s resilience and positioned Fab City within global debates on shared infrastructure and sustainable production.
