Held at the Grande Halle in Parc de la Villette, the 2018 Summit marked a political breakthrough for the movement, elevating Fab City into mainstream urban discourse. City representatives co-wrote the Fab City Manifesto, defining ten principles for the transition toward locally productive, digitally connected cities. The network expanded beyond early adopters, with growing mayoral endorsement across Europe. The Manifesto formalized shared values and aligned political leadership around the 2054 commitment. Paris 2018 gave Fab City institutional legitimacy and visible public support, anchoring the movement in municipal leadership.
