HaNoi Rethink strengthens the creative and fabrication ecosystem in Hanoi by connecting local hubs, designers, and institutions. It activates distributed design practices within the city’s creative industries and links them to global networks. This reinforces Fab City’s commitment to expanding distributed production beyond Europe.
The project builds visibility and capacity for local creative production. Through ecosystem mapping, training programs, and open design contests, it connects fragmented actors into a more coherent network. This strengthens Hanoi’s ability to position itself within global distributed design conversations. For Fab City, HaNoi Rethink extends the initiative’s geographic reach and reinforces its global learning dimension. It demonstrates how the network can support emerging creative ecosystems in different cultural contexts while maintaining shared principles.
The project generates ecosystem assessments, training reports, design competitions, and documented methodologies for activating creative production networks. These outputs contribute to Fab City’s broader knowledge base on distributed design and cultural manufacturing ecosystems.
